Grind4Gains founder Wesley Alston was born in Brooklyn New York and raised in Hempstead long island. What most people don't know is that before Wesley began working out, or even thought of creating a fitness brand he was a smaller and skinnier guy than most. Wesley fell in love with working out in June of 2006 where he was inspired by his college peers to start working out and it has become a lifestyle of his to this day.

For Wesley, he became a member at a gym in garden city, long island name “ X sport Fitness” where he fell in love with the Grind of weight loss and the muscle building atmosphere. Wesley believes that ‘Once you join a gym that you love and others around you share the same ambition on a every day basis, they now become your gym family.”

Throughout the years, Wesley began to notice what everyone notices when they go to gym, ‘The slackers”. You know the ones that come to the gym just for fashion or the ones who come to the gym and all they do it talk and text?. This is when Wesley started to feel like he had to say something to his other gym goers so he started unique phrases such as, “Less textin more Flexin.” “Less Chattin more Rackin”, and “GainsOClock”. Surprisingly, people actually started to repeat these phrases to him and this is what gave him the idea to create a unique fitness brand with phrases people will never forget!.

After years of practice, Romy has found that gently taming and suggesting shape yields the most elegant results. Even when she started small with wallets back in 1987, she always matched her meticulousness with curiosity. Travelling around the globe, she has studied various techniques and designs that have helped her cultivate a singular yet international style. Today, she has a few apprentices of her own and spends most of her time crafting with them in her Montréal studio. She still makes time to learn new techniques and exhibits at tradeshows all around the world.
